Puling up that on the Microswiss site, it looks to be pretty tight there. Perhaps a modification of the one used on the K1 might work.

I haven't even thought about going back to a direct drive configuration yet. That one looks fun.

Any chance we can look at the gcode that you used on the Ender3 v2 that you showed at RMRRF? Sorry, waiting on the parts gives me too much time to think about things. lol

Yes, he did. But how? The printer's extruder unloads the filament before control is passed to the 3DC via the switch. So how does it know to cut it before that?

Like in Chris's video, did you try using Zadig to install the driver first?

Pretty much how I did it, except I was using a USBTiny programmer and selected that instead.

In the IDE I chose either the Uno or the Nano. Not sure how close that is but it worked.

The USBTiny was cheap <$10, so if you are ordering stuff anyways, you might give it a try.

I used a USBTiny device that I got from Amazon. Like you, I don't really know much about Arduino. I installed the Latest Arduino IDE. There is a burn boot loader item under Tools.

But my MK3 mode 3 Gcode should still work?

So there are no longer modes? Looking at the Mk4 GCode generator. Not complaining. Let me clarify. I updated the bootloader, then the firmware. Everything seems to work OK. I gave it a reset, then I wanted to make sure it was in MODE 3, so I held the switch for 10 pulses. Nothing. Took me a second to go the the Gcode generator and it had changed. Makes sense really. Only so much memory on devices like this. Save it for the new stuff.
