I tried to find a video on switch placement on an orginal ender 3 with the smaller extrusion on the y axis. Will the switch still work here or you mention the x axis in one of the videos. What is your recommendation?

Personally, I do not know how to write essays. and I am very much helped by this site and its service, because here I was able to find cheap essays for sale . So if you are like me and you don't know how to write essays or you don't have enough time for it, then I was happy to recommend this site and its service to you! Good luck and see you soon.
I tried both and they both worked. I did end up with your solution as well.
To ideally use the X-Axis you can reverse the rightmost wheel bolt on the carrage to allow it to pass further past the right side of the bed and then issue the command M211 S0 (Software Endstop) just before the commands to access the 3D Chameleon in the Tool Change G-Code and M211 S1 at the end of it. This will allow the G-Code to exceed the maximum limits of the firmware.
I ended up using the generic bracket and mounted on the y axis and drilled out a hole so the bracket sits over the screw holding the y tensioning bracket. fits like a glove.
