Hi all,
I've managed to successfully upgrade my 3DChameleon firmware to the MK3.1, and I have also now successfully printed and installed my 3dclippy but i need a little advice on the following topics regarding the MK3 GCode that is automatically generated:-
My 3dclippy will CUT at X=220, then can be reset by sending the print head to X=0, but I've no idea, whereabouts in the automatically produced Gcode from the site as to where to put this, nor (at the moment - but I will research after posting this) the actual Gcode commands to make the two above movements.
Many thanks - looking forward to trialling and getting the colour flowing reliably, so any further advice (using an S1PRO) greatly received !! :)
Colin.
Ok... I need more information... I'm having a hard time following what you're saying. The code looks correct to me... but you said, "When I ran a dry run with this version of my tool change code the printer attempted to perform a filament almost immediately but it didn't get to the cut position fully (X=220 for me), nor did it reset properly ?" Are you saying it tried to cut it immediately after you started? But it didn't go to it? What happened before that? Maybe if you sent me the full gcode I could understand it better. (Just send it to me at bill@3dchameleon.com) and/or a video of what it's doing.
Bill
Take a look at our Ender 3 V2 code, as it does the exact thing. You can find it here in the description of this video:

Ignore the "Advanced Installation" portion of the gcode... just focus on the cutter movements and how I placed them.
