3dClippy and BMG direct drive

Got my 3D Chameleon on order. Should be in on Saturday. I have 2 printers, an Ender 3 Pro and an JGMaker Artist-D (IDEX). I had to rework the hotends on the Artist-D since the factory one is so terrible. Ok. to make the long story short, I intend to test with both printers. Both printers have BMG clone extruders in a direct drive configuration. Has anyone made a 3dClippy to work with a BMG extruder direct drive?

I've never had issues with a BMG clone... They're very reliable once you fix any issues with their drive gear alignment (see my video on that.). They're very forgiving when it comes to tip shape or stringing.

I have several sample printers in videos with them installed and have never had an issue on any of them.

Technically, it's not needed on any printer... just a nice feature to have. (We literally do not use it on any of our printers in house... and it's only installed on the few demonstration printers for the publication of it.) Of all the extruders out there, the best behaved and easiest to use is the BMG and overall best bang for the buck. It's why we specifically recommend it if you're having any issues with your stock one (or if the stock one is a Titan clone, which are the worst!)

Thanks Bill! I had already had fixed the clone BMG earlier when I had issues with Flexible PLA. Can't wait until this weekend to give it a try. I suppose that on the IDEX that, technically, I could print 5 colors. Although I'm sure the extruder numbering may have to be altered. Sounds like fun!
