I have finally installed my MK2+ , purchased July '22, but with the latest firmware.
I'm using Mode 2, and I used the 15 pulse command to set the "Pulse width" to be 2 seconds
I noticed that when the power is removed from the 3D Chameleon, it resets back to the half-second pulse width.
Is this supposed to happen, or is my 3D Chameleon defective?
I was working on adjusting Auto-bed-level G29 command to set the back position, and since i was testing by manually sending gcode, I needed a more time to get to the power plug to unplug unit when the bed hit the switch. I grew fond of the long pulse, but alas, I'll go back to the defaults. Thanks Bill.
That's by design. It's recommended that you don't change the pulse width as that is a depreciated feaure. It was a carry over from the old design. The pulse counting makes it easier to get the proper timing.
Can I ask why you're going to such a long pulse timing? Normally, that was designed for the digital signalling directly by a controller's gpio pin, which is very fast.
