Step Motor Driver - wich is the best ?

Hello Guis !!

I removed some drivers from an old printer, these drivers are Pololu A4988. I intend to replace them with TMC 2208 or TMC 2209 V3. Which should I choose?

I saw a video of @Bill talking about the automatic feature using TMC drivers, which detect the increase in consumption.
