Direct Drive from 3D Chameleon??

How difficult is it to use the Chameleon for direct drive to the extruder like Bill does in this video (3DChameleon Mk2 and 3DClippy on the Creality Ender 3 V2 (youtube.com ). See screenshot attached for reference.

It's not a recommended installation simply due to the complexity of the installation and the slicing. I will have a newer version coming soon in the Mk4 firmware that doesn't need the complex software, so stay tuned.

I might add, you can't upgrade to the Mk4 firmware, as it needs the Mk3 Mode 1 to use it.

You're talking apples and oranges... This has nothing to do with a direct drive extruder... What he's taking about is replacing the extruder with the 3DChameleon. In the old Mk2 and early Mk3, the 3DChameleon could be installed as the extruder, not as a device to load/unload your existing extruder.
