Can you take pictures of your tips... In this picture, it sure looks like there is something in the Y adapter. Any debris left in it can jam it. There is nothing in the Y adapter by itself that would prevent normal size filament from passing through... So if it loads, it should unload with the same ease of motion. Make sure your PTFE tubes are fully inserted into the pockets below the connectors and that their passages are flared, so there are no sharp edges for anything (like the lip of a bulge) to get caught on. Just a single PTFE tube all the way through it. The blade will cut it and keep everything aligned. You do not need the PTFE Coupler in the hot end... Just the one above the 3DClippy. Bill

You need to lower the max speed of the tool change GCode to prevent the stepper motor from skipping. You multiplied the speed by 3, so you should divide the F value by an equal amount. Try a max speed of F3000 instead of our F10000 default. Bill

On Tinkercad. Not sure how a file can be a mess... It loads and prints fine on PrusaSlicer, BambuSlicer and Cura for me. Advanced installation playlist is on our YouTube channel... It's actually incredibly easy compared to the normal installation, but requires you to customize the tool change GCode. How are you handling the elimination of the stock extruder? By replacing it with our own extruder... The 3DChameleon is a 4 color extruder. The Tool Change GCode and Post Processor do the rest. Bill

Yes... I designed the 3DClippy specifically to eliminate the need for tip shaping and tuning... It works great. As for the tubes... The shorter the tubes are, the better, as you're eliminating friction in the system. That's always a good thing. However, you need them long enough for full travel without kinking the tubes by bending them too sharp. The GCode generator will adjust the GCode... You just need to tell it the distances.

My guess is that Octoprint isn't configured for 4 extruders. In the firmware, they'll ignore the T commands if they're not supported... And since we don't use it, my guess is the slicer is injecting them and Octoprint reporting about them. I'd say you can safely ignore them or just try to remove them from the GCode.

We are firmware agnostic, and have no dependency on any one... Our code doesn't need the T{n} commands at all and we don't inject them... It's all in the T0 as far as the firmware should be concerned. Bill

Is this happening during unloading? If so, you need to do one of two things... 1) follow the tip shaping in our FAQ... 2) eliminate tip shaping altogether and add the 3DClippy t cut the filament between your extruder and hot end. My current design doesn't fit there, but can easily be adapted. The idea is very simple... Cutting the fat or stringy tips totally eliminates the chance of them jamming in the Y adapter... And it speeds up the whole process of the color change. Search for 3DClippy on Thingiverse or Tinkercad for details... It's open source. Bill
