I have the Chameleon working and swapping filament fairly reliably. But... on the second or third layer the hotend inevitably clogs. When I disassemble it and have a look, I find a ball of PLA "lint" in the neck of the heat break - - basically the result of the filament stringing when retracting and then getting wadded up. I can just remove the lint with tweezers and that clears it - there's no clogging in the nozzle or below the neck of the heat break. I know Bill and probably others have spent a lot of time tweaking to avoid these types of problems, so I'm hoping to get pointed in the right direction for things to try. For reference I'm using a V6/Volcano so the heat block is longer than other hotends. So I've tweaked the unload gcode to increase the distance the filament is "plunged" but that hasn't helped. I'm extruding at 205 degrees. Using a BMG clone as a Bowden.

My stock hotend/extruder seems like it's not going to work well with the Chameleon. Since the stock piece has a few other annoying shortcomings I'm looking to replace the hotend and extruder with something better (but still direct drive). I was looking at the Titan Aero because of the features and because it includes both the extruder and the hotend. But I saw a passing reference in the Chameleon FAQ saying Titans don't work with the Chameleon. Two questions: * Does the problem with Titans seem hopeless or is it surmountable? Does anyone have it working with the Titan Aero? * Are there any aftermarket direct drive extruders that are known to work especially well with the Chameleon?

I'm starting to install my mk2 on a Monoprice Maker Select v2 (Wanhao i3 clone). I'm looking for thoughts on how to mount the bottom of the Y splitter to the top of the extruder. It's a direct drive extruder where the filament enters by passing through a hole in the idler lever. See photo below.
