Filament wont load to print head

it’s like it’s skipping the step of actually loading the filament from the Y pipe

I have an MK4 chameleon using an ender 5 S1 with the filament sensor on the y axis. I timed 20 seconds from y tube to extruder and about 86mm distance from extruder to hotend. it seems like the button presses are not working properly and im completely stumped.

-when i start a print

printer homes

1 press

4 count press

waits for afew seconds

holds for about 5 seconds and starts printing without filament reaching the print head

eventually it tries to change color with filament reaching the print head but not actually loading into hot end.

If the filament isn't making it to the extruder, adjust the timeing up until the extruder can load it. Adjust the speed of your extruder to closely match the speed that the 3D Chameleon is feeding (I use F2100). You need to adjust your extruder loading distance to assure the filament is loaded to your nozzle. A little to much and you'll get some waste, but it will work. Once you have it working, adjust the time feed down until there's less waste.
