Support

I purchased the Mk2 kit back in July and am now attempting to set it up. My issue is that when the chameleon gets the filament to the extruder gears, it doesn't catch. Instead it just hangs out above them. Are there any recommendations to remedy this that I should be considering? I'm also having general issues with the filament reaching the extruder, but baby steps for now and I'm hopeful I can figure that out without pestering anyone. Any help would be greatly appreciated! My extruder and hotend setup is the direct drive configuration that creality sells. Here's a photo just in case it's helpful :
