3d clippy neptune 4
I just got my chameleon this week. It seemed very easy in the video and now i'm a bit lost. I have the Neptune 4. I found the link to the ptfe mount for my extruder. I have not tried to install yet but I think I get the concept of what I'll be doing. I may be back when its time for gcode lol.
But i'm really confused on the 3dclippy. I keep seeing mention of it, i get what its supposed to do because i have a bambu also, i see a few printables for it on different printers but i'm not finding anything for a neptune and i dont really understand how the chameleon works if i dont have a filament cutter.

The traditional way of swapping filament requires that you do a "tip shaping", which our Tool Change GCode does, to form the tip so that it can be reloaded.
This is classically a hard problem, and normally very difficult to get perfect. 3DClippy is a generic cutter that is open source, so anyone can take it and modify it to suit their needs. In the Mk4 Pro add-ons, we developed the Auto 3DClippy, which is even easier. Just make a mount that allows it to attach above your extruder/hotend and it will automatically cut the filament whenever the filament is retracted out.
We don't develop specific versions for printers, simply because there would 100s of them, but we instead publish a generic design that can be adapted to almost any printer.
