Extruder not catching filament

I just got the Chameleon and have spent the last couple of days ironing out some bugs( on a related note, videos on how to disassemble and reassemble the device and how to properly use the tube notching jig would be handy). My issue is that the Chamleon works properly as far as I can tell, but my extruder is not pulling in the filament. My setup is an Ender 3 v2 with a brand new metal tensioner and gear. What appears to be happening is that the extruder is not turning when the filament is being fed to it and I believe it should be?


Is the problem here?

G4 S15; wait for it to happen ; adjust this time to match the actual tool change time - subtract the time it takes to load for the last 1" into the extruder


The S15 is way too long? And by 1" I watch the filament come through the last part of the tube and stop the clock when it's just an inch out, correct? That time is then put into the S15 variable?

Right after I posted this I went and tried it. Ended up with a 3 sec time there and that seems to work. Now I have tip forming issues that I need to work out. I'll probably end up making a 3d clippy...
