Rooted K1 with Mk4 install questions

Ok, finally got my K1 working again (had to replace the mainboard) and ready to tackle getting the 3dC set up, but I have some questions. 1.Given that the k1 is running Klipper, do I need to install the switch still? I thought I saw that Klipper printers don't need the switch, but all k1 setups i've seen have the switch. 1a. If I DON'T need the switch, how do you trigger the change of filament (Pictures of how to wire would be greatly appreciated) 2. Is there a way to use the included filament sensor with 3dC?

2a. If yes, how?

2b. If no, how does one disable the sensor? 3. Any "gotchas' I should be aware of for this install? 4. Last, I've printed this 'dry box/spool holder' that can hold 4 spools above the printer. Anyone see any reason it wouldn't work with the 3dC? https://www.crealitycloud.com/model-detail/65bc076828a3f0d2cec52005 Thanks all!

Even though it said Mk4 I don't think the ones being sent got the new firmware. I ordered a 'Mk4' the same day it was first put on the website and got the Mk3 firmware as well, so I get it. The upgrade isn't that hard, and knowing how to do it is good since when part 2 of the Mk4 comes out with the auto loading and such we'll need to upgrade there as well. I used an Arduino Uno board and followed Chris' video, only problem I had was I needed a different driver than the one mentioned in the video. If you run into issues though feel free to shout.
