I have just received my kit. Can't wait to get it going on my K1 max. Going to be working on getting this going so I can take it to MRRF.

You will need a separate device to enable the ability to flash the firmware. There's a good video about it here, and Bill has already said elsewhere that it will be the same procedure to update to Mk4 when it comes out:
