Decided to go back to step one. Watch the installation videos. No matter what I do, mine does not match the behavior demonstrated in the video. I even played the video and followed Bill’s cadence exactly and my unit does not respond the same.
I get no movement on a half second pulse. A full second pulse seems to move it. Takes at least 2-3 seconds for it to home itself. For the life of my I can never get it into the mode of feeding in filament. Again I have followed along the exact cadence and mine does not respond. After the 5.5 seconds for example, the next button push does nothing.
I got it a couple weeks ago. The behavior matches the description at the bottom of the MK3 Goode page. I did use that tab to generate the code. You mention 2 different options, but I didn’t see instruction on how to set up the different ones. Or which is better. I have a stock ended 3 s1 sprite direct drive extruded and am having trouble with it making the changes and wondering if I should be trying a different setup like option 2 you mention.
Can you post a video of it? How old is your unit? There is a new firmware that we started shipping last month, described in the Mk3 GCode tab at the bottom of the page with entirely new command sequences. A quick check... when you press and hold the button, does the selector motor vibrate once about every half second? If so, you need to user the Mk3 GCode Generator tab to use the latest (and faster) method of commanding it. In it, there is always only a single press for most uses... and the different commands are all dependent on how long the press is.
For example:
3.5 seconds to home .5 seconds to color 1
1 second to color 2
1.5 seconds to color 3 2 seconds to color 4
There are several more commands all documented at the bottom of the Mk3 GCode page. Bill
