Hi ,
Just Ordered a MK4 for My Voron Trident 350 (Galileo2 extruder with filametrix cuter). Plan is to Build 4 Filamentalist to rewind the spools , but reading on the filamentalist before ordering the bom and starting to print the parts : I read that filamentalist requires a bit of torque at the filament loading , and i think i remember that the MK4 works based on current draw on stepper (Torque requested): So i get a doubt if the MK4 utilize draw to know when he passes the Y connector or when he reaches the extruder: Will the filamentalist take too much torque from stepper or non consistent torque which could sort off "loose" the MK4 makes him think the filament is in the extruder when he is not yet?
To make a long story short : will MK$ works with filamentalist ? Did anyone tried?
Thanks for feedback and advises
Sebastien
P:S : My apologies for my english : I am french living in Thailand so my english may shock some americans : Forgive the Froggie ...
Found it :
was MK3 with a repwinder winding system : similar idea but different design

Thanks for the answer , idea was to avoid the mess of the retracted filament on the 4 spools as i plan to install the divider outside of the printer the retraction will be 40 to 50 cm at each color change
I think i saw somewhere a video of someone using it with MK3 , will try to find that again
For those not familiar with it, here's a video I found of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7_1syZU9XU
Honestly, I've never even heard of that rewinder before, but in looking at it, the idea is that you want the filament to move freely, and not be bound up... that system looks like it would apply way too much force to the filament and cause too much drag.
