The issues are related to the extruder: 1. The feed into the extruder is too small for the PTFE tube. - I resolved this by modifying a clip that secures the existing cable clip and aligns the PTFE tube with the extruder's opening
2. The extruder has a latch(is this the proper term?) that pinches the filament against the gear. On filament change, how will the 3DChameleon hold that open?
would love to see a video of the install process and all parts required (that dont come in the kit itself) to install on a KE.
You use an adapter for a PTFE connector. That will feed directly into the extruder. Look for the Sprite extruder PTFE adapter on Printables or Tinkercad. There are several examples.
Leave the latch closed... that's for human access... when you use our technique, that latch will not be an issue... you can feed filament into it as long as the extruder is running before the filament reaches it.
