I purchased the Mk2 kit back in July and am now attempting to set it up. My issue is that when the chameleon gets the filament to the extruder gears, it doesn't catch. Instead it just hangs out above them. Are there any recommendations to remedy this that I should be considering? I'm also having general issues with the filament reaching the extruder, but baby steps for now and I'm hopeful I can figure that out without pestering anyone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
My extruder and hotend setup is the direct drive configuration that creality sells.

For #1... check out this later video on the gcode generator: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7B8C5WI2LSU&list=PLs1jpNL7rg7_w_ufJVqMZ4nUdiA1cg38_&index=9 For #2, really, it's the entire path, but definitely from the Y adapter to the extruder. Bill
Thank you for the reply. 1. I am using the steps from this video for my gcode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Myr61uOCzVk 2. For the straight path, does that mean from the y adapter to the extruder? 3. I'll play with the tension this week to so if anything changes.
Ok... there are 3 possible issues. 1) Are you using the older code from the sample profile or the latest code from the GCode Generator? The older code didn't start up the extruder motor until after the 3D Chameleon stopped... but the new code runs them both at the same time. 2) The second thing to look for is a nice straight path and a good tip shape... the tip should be pointed (like cut at a 45 degree angle) and be easy to move through the connector. If it's not aligned properly, it can bind on the sides of the openings and cause it to hang as well. 3) Lastly, can you adjust the tension at that point on the extruder... if it is too high, it will now allow it to open up to grab the filament.
