I remember reading about some other AMS, I forget which one, that even though it was limited to 4 colors, you could run 5 or more just by swapping the spool in the AMS. For example if you wanted 5 colors, you would start with 1-4 loaded. Once the printer finished with color 1, you would swap it with color 5, and the gcode instructions just say to print whatever color 5 is using roll 1.
I assumed that would be the case with the chameleon but now I'm not so sure. Looking at the hardware, I'd have to pause the print when it's using T1, unload T0, load the 5th spool into T0, and push it to where it should be. I think that's doable but I want to be sure.

It's actually quite easy... once it's not using a filament, you can easily pull out the filament and reload it to the correct position manually. Bill
