The bottom extruder on my 3D chameleon system ( filament selector one I think) is super hot even when the 3D Chameleon is sitting idle and just plugged in. Is this normal or something is wrong? Like I just left it plugged in for a couple hours and did not use it and it is very hot to the touch.

It can be adjusted... Just turn down the little pot on the controller. No more than a few degrees is needed.

Mine are the same. Stepper motors when powered on, are always energized to hold their position, which causes heat. I don’t know if that is bad or not, but my Nema 34s on my CNC do get hot, but not as hot as these seem to be getting.
